The Development of a Model for Advancing the “ Family Safability, Healthy Society” Project in Nakhon Ratchasima Province.

Abstract

This action research study aims to examine the current situation, develop integrated strategies, and evaluate their effectiveness in advancing the Family Safability and Healthy Society Project in Nakhonratchasima province. The study employs a purposive sampling method, selecting three groups of participants: 28 relevant executives, 28 practitioners, and 42 network partners. Research instruments include document analysis, in-depth interviews, focus group discussions, and various assessment forms. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, including frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation, while qualitative data were examined through content analysis.

The findings indicate that executives at all levels possess substantial experience in policy implementation, emphasizing the well-being of disadvantaged populations, including persons with disabilities and the elderly. Their efforts encompass health, social welfare, living conditions, environmental sustainability, education, career promotion, and family development. Key factors contributing to the project's success include effective management, action planning, communication and public relations, and network development. This study formulates an integrated strategic framework comprising one vision, three missions, one goal, eight strategies, The eight core strategies are as follows: (1) Accelerating the development of integrated activities and innovations for a stable family and a healthy society. (2) Strengthening mechanisms to drive the Stable Family and Healthy Society initiative. (3) Enhancing data systems through accessible technology, programs, and applications. (4) Developing an integrated budgeting system. (5) Establishing model areas for the Stable Family and Healthy Society Project. (6) Improving communication, public relations, and crisis response mechanisms. (7) Enhancing the efficiency of management systems. (8) Developing and refining an integrated monitoring and evaluation system. The evaluation of the integrated strategies indicates high levels of accuracy ( = 4.25, S.D. = 0.54), appropriateness ( = 4.20, S.D. = 0.54), and feasibility ( = 4.41, S.D. = 0.60). Furthermore, an assessment of key performance indicators, based on data from routine reporting systems, demonstrates improvements across all eight measurable indicators. It is recommended that these integrated strategies be institutionalized as policy measures to ensure the sustainable implementation of the Stable Family and Healthy Society Project at the national level.
