Health Perception, and Quality of Service as Perceived by Persons Receiving and Annual Health Check up at Songklanagarind Hospital

Abstract

Quality evaluation through client perspectives is essential for improving the quality of service. The objective of this descriptive research was to study the health perception of patients related to annual health check-ups, and service quality, by, measuring accessibility, sufficiency and the facilities at Songklanagarind hospital. The participants composed of 388 cases, with patients over 35 years of age,who and had undergone a health examination at a general clinic. The research instruments composes of 3 parts  including, a personal data form, the Health Perception Questionnaire. and Quality of Service Questionnaire Data were analyzed by using descriptive statistic. The study results were that  1) Most of research participants reported a high level of health perception 2) Services accessibility and  appropriateness of  available programs of service, as well as the sufficiency of services were rated as high.  In addition, the participants recommended other programs of health services. that should be provided at the general clinic.These included screening for breast cancer, cervical cancer, colorectal cancer and prostate cancer. The research finding can be use by the hospital as useful information
