ปัจจัยที่มีความสัมพันธ์ต่อภาวะซึมเศร้าของผู้สูงอายุในชุมชน จังหวัดราชบุรี

บทคัดย่อ
การศึกษาเชิงพรรณนานี้ มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาระดับภาวะซึมเศร้าและปัจจัยที่มีความสัมพันธ์ต่อภาวะซึมเศร้าของผู้สูงอายุ กลุ่มตัวอย่าง คือ ผู้สูงอายุในชุมชนตำบลดอนทราย อำเภอโพธาราม จังหวัดราชบุรี จำนวน 300 คน คัดเลือกกลุ่มตัวอย่างโดยใช้วิธีการสุ่มแบบง่ายด้วยวิธีการจับฉลากรายชื่อ เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูล ได้แก่ แบบสอบถามปัจจัยส่วนบุคคล ปัจจัยด้านเศรษฐกิจ ปัจจัยด้านการทำหน้าที่ของครอบครัว และแบบประเมินภาวะซึมเศร้าในผู้สูงอายุ วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยใช้สถิติเชิงพรรณนา และสถิติไคสแควร์
ผลการวิจัย พบว่า ผู้สูงอายุเป็นเพศหญิง (ร้อยละ 62.00 ) มีอายุอยู่ระหว่าง 60-69 ปี (ร้อยละ 43.33) จบการศึกษาระดับประถมศึกษา (ร้อยละ 86.30) มีรายได้เฉลี่ยต่อเดือน 500-1,000 บาท (ร้อยละ 44.3) อาศัยอยู่กับคู่สมรสหรือบุตรหลาน (ร้อยละ 88.30) จากการประเมินภาวะซึมเศร้าในผู้สูงอายุ พบว่า ร้อยละ 37.33 มีภาวะซึมเศร้า ซึ่งเพศหญิงมีภาวะซึมเศร้ามากกว่าเพศชาย โดยมีภาวะซึมเศร้าอยู่ในระดับเล็กน้อย (ร้อยละ 70.54) และมักมีอาการนอนหลับไม่สนิทในช่วง 2 สัปดาห์ที่ผ่านมา (ร้อยละ 57.99) ปัจจัยที่มีความสัมพันธ์กับภาวะซึมเศร้าของผู้สูงอายุ ได้แก่ เพศ สถานภาพสมรส ลักษณะการอยู่อาศัย ความสัมพันธ์ในครอบครัว และความเพียงพอของรายได้ (p < .05)
การศึกษาครั้งนี้แสดงให้เห็นว่า ควรส่งเสริมให้ผู้สูงอายุหญิงมีสัมพันธภาพที่ดีในครอบครัวเพื่อป้องกันภาวะซึมเศร้า สำหรับปัจจัยที่ทำให้ผู้สูงอายุซึมเศร้าดังกล่าว สามารถนำไปใช้ในการวางแผนและเป็นแนวทางในการแก้ไขปัญหาสุขภาพจิตของผู้สูงอายุได้อย่างเหมาะสม
