The Effectiveness of “Ngainak Vaccine” VDO on Knowledge Gain Basic Vaccine in Child Among The 1st Year Air Force Student Nurse, Academic Year 2019

Abstract
Objective : The objective were to compare between pre and post test scores of control group after received only PowerPoint, to compare pre and post test scores of experimental group after received PowerPoint and watching “Ngainak vaccine” VDO and to compare pre and post test scores between 2 groups.
Materials and methods : Samples were selected from 60 first year AFSN who were drawn from using simple random sampling method and divided into 2 groups each group had 30 persons. The instruments in this study were separated into 2 parts. Part 1 was the collecting instruments including personal questionnaire and vaccine test. The content validity was tested using Index of Item-Objective Congruence (IOC) and the IOC was 0.75 The KR-20 coefficient of reliability was 0.71. Part 2 was the experimental instruments were PowerPoint and watching “Ngainak vaccine” VDO the IOC of content validity was 0.93. Data were analyzed by using Mean, Standard deviation, Dependent t-test and Independent t-test.
Results :
- The post-test scores of control group after received only PowerPoint were statistically significant at 0.05 level.
- The post-test scores of experimental group after received PowerPoint and watching “Ngainak vaccine” VDO were more statistically significant at 0.05 level.
- The differences of post-test scores between control and experimental group were statistically significant at 0.05 level.
