Abstract

The mission for the emergency referral medical management was performed in Phramongkutklao Hospital  due to the insurgents attacked the military personnel on 27 August 2006 at Buntagulae Bannang Sata District Yala Province. Two soldiers were shot dead and five were seriously injured. After getting first aid in Yala Hospital they were referred to Phramongkutklao Hospital under care of Her Majesty Queen’s Sirikit. Phramongkutklao Hospital Director MG Phanuvich Pumhirun launched the operation plan suddenly by set up “ Intensive Referral System  Center for Three Southernmost Provinces”. The center composed of the medical staffs in Phramongkutklao Hospital (General Surgeon Vascular Surgeon Orthopaedist Internal Medicine and Anesthetist ect.). The treatment plan  was discussed every  day in the “Medical War Room” in order to provide the best standard treatment to the injured  soldiers. With the  good medical team work by the team leader LTG Vidthya Chovichien Director General Phramongkutklao Medical Center and MG Phanuvich the operation was successed with favorable outcome. Everypatients had completely recoverd without loss of any organs some was discharged and some needed  further rehabilitation in the hospital. Conclusively The Royal Thai Army Medical Department could be able to apply this mission  if there is the casualty situation like this happen in the future.
