Abstract
The Bachelor Bachelor of Nursing Science Curriculum (revised version 2542 B.E.) of the Royal Thai Army Nursing College has been started since B.E.2542 until present. Nevertheless this curriculum has not been evaluated. Objectives : The purpose of this study was to evaluate the Bachelor of Nursing Science Program (revised version 2542 B.E.) of the Royal Thai Army Nursing College. The CIPP Model was used as a tool to evaluate the curriculum in terms of Context Input Process and Product. Population and setting: The population in this study was 383 in total. This included 53 administrators and teaching staff 163 nursing students 44 bachelor graduates 36 teaching support personnel 43 head nurses of the graduates and 44 co-workers of the graduates. Materials and method: The researchers developed questionnaires which were tested for content validity by experts. Descriptive statistical analyses were performed including frequency distribution mean and standard deviation. Results: The philosophy of the curriculum was clearly stated and consistent with the objectives of the curriculum. The objectives of the curriculum also corresponded with social needs and nursing profession. The credit hours specified in the curriculum structure were appropriate. All subject contents were consistent with the objectives. The content updates teaching-learning arrangement course evaluation and the application to clinical practice were highly appropriate. The factors determining teaching-learning process were rated as most suitable. The learning achievement of the first second third and fourth year students were at moderate to high level. The opinions towards the graduates personal characteristics and practice abilities were at high level. Recommendation for application: The findings from this study is meant for administrators and staffs of the Royal Thai Army Nursing College and can be used as guideline for further development of the BSN curriculum.
