Correlation between Malnutrition and Quality of Life of Hemodialysis Patients

Abstract
This research is a descriptive research. Objective: to study the relationship between malnutrition and quality of life of patients undergoing hemodialysis. Method: the sample consisted of 138 patients undergoing hemodialysis at a clinic specializing in hemodialysis medicine in Bangkok. personal data record form clinical record form and nutritional status assessment form and the quality of life questionnaire in kidney disease. The confidence values were .75 and .076, respectively. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics. and Pearson's correlation statistics. Results: showed that 92% of the patients receiving hemodialysis had a low level of malnutrition, a low level of overall quality of life (M = 59.66, SD = 3.11), and malnutrition had a low negative correlation with quality of life was statistically significant at .05 (r = -0.18).
