Abstract
ระบบประสาทประกอบด้วย ประสาทส่วนกลาง central nervous system : CNS ได้แก่สมองและไขสันหลัง และประสาทส่วนปลาย peripheral nervous system : PNS ได้แก่ เส้นประสาทสมอง cranial nerve 12 คู่ (1) เส้นประสาทไขสันหลัง spinal nerve 31 คู่ และเส้นประสาทอัตโนมัติ autonomic nerve(2)
โดยในบทความนี้จะกล่าวถึง cranial Nerves เรียงลำดับจากคู่ที่ 1-12
เส้นประสาทสมองมีนิวเคลียสที่เกี่ยวข้องหลักๆ 3 ชนิด ได้แก่ motor การสั่งการกล้ามเนื้อ sensory การรับความรู้สึก และ parasympathetic nucleus เกี่ยวกับระบบประสาทอัตนโนมัติ เช่น การหลั่งน้ำลาย เมื่อทราบที่มาของเส้นประสาทจึงทำให้ทราบหน้าที่ของมัน เช่น เส้นประสาท motor nerve จะทำหน้าที่สั่งการกล้ามเนื้ออย่างเดียว ไม่รับความรู้สึก เป็นต้น
ทางเดินเส้นประสาทจะทำให้ผู้อ่านทราบถึงความสัมพันธ์ของโครงสร้างที่ใกล้เคียงกับเส้นประสาท เมื่อเกิดการแตกหักของกระดูกที่เส้นประสาทลอดผ่าน จึงส่งผลต่อเส้นประสาทนั้นๆได้ ซึ่งบทความนี้ได้กล่าวถึงทางเดินของเส้นประสาทและสรุปอาการที่เกิดขึ้นหลังจากทางเดินเส้นประสาทที่สัมพันธ์กับรูของกะโหลกศีรษะที่เป็นทางออกของเส้นประสาท โดยมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อให้นักเรียนแพทย์ทหาร บุคลกรทางการแพทย์และประชาชนได้อ่านเรื่องเส้นประสาทสมองแล้วทราบถึงสาเหตุของที่ทำให้เส้นประสาททำงานผิดปกติได้
