Preterm Labor

Abstract

With its associated morbidity and mortality
preterm delivery is still represents one of the major
unsolved problems in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Aside
from survival, another important issue is the quality of
life of an immature, extremely low-birth weight infants.
This update clinical review for preterm concludes only
the clinical important points that can be truly applied
for Thai-clinicians with the following aspects of preterm
labor (PTL): definition, identification of high risk patients,
prenatal care of high risk patients, and management of
preterm labor.
