ความรู้และการปฏิบัติงานของอาสาสมัครสาธารณสุขประจำหมู่บ้านในการดูแลผู้พิการในชุมชน:กรณีศึกษาชุมชนนาเคียน ตำบลนาเคียน อำเภอเมือง จังหวัดนครศรีธรรมราช

Abstract

การศึกษาเรื่อง ความรู้และการปฏิบัติงานของอาสาสมัครสาธารณสุขประจำหมู่บ้าน ในการดูแลผู้พิการในชุมชน กรณีศึกษาในชุมชนนาเคียน ตำบลนาเคียน อำเภอเมือง จังหวัดนครศรีธรรมราช เป็นการวิจัยเชิงสำรวจ โดยมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาความรู้ ระดับการปฏิบัติงาน แนวทางการพัฒนาระบบอาสาสมัครสาธารณสุขประจำ หมู่บ้านในการดูแลผู้พิการในชุมชน โดยการเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลจากการตอบแบบสอบถามของอาสาสมัคร สาธารณสุขประจำหมู่บ้าน จำนวน 114 คน และสัมภาษณ์บุคคลที่มีส่วนเกี่ยวข้องจำนวน 3 คน วิเคราะห์ข้อมูล โดยใช้โปรแกรมคอมพิวเตอร์สำเร็จรูป สถิติที่ใช้คือความถี่ ค่าร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย ค่าเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน t-test และ One-way ANOVA ผลการศึกษา สรุปดังนี้

ผลการศึกษาพบว่า ความรู้และระดับการปฏิบัติงานของอาสาสมัครสาธารณสุขในการดูแลผู้พิการอยู่ใน ระดับปานกลาง ( = 3.86, SD = .49; = 3.87, SD = .49) ผลการศึกษาแนวทางพัฒนาระบบอาสาสมัคร สาธารณสุขในการดูแลผู้พิการในชุมชนพบว่าอาสาสมัครที่มีระดับการปฏิบัติงานแตกต่างกัน มีแนวทางในการ พัฒนาระบบอาสาสมัครสาธารณสุขแตกต่างกันอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติ (F = 7.64, p < .05) จากผลการ สัมภาษณ์ผู้มีส่วนเกี่ยวข้องพบว่า อาสาสมัครสาธารณสุขควรได้รับการอบรมความรู้ในการป้องกันรักษาและ ส่งเสริมฟื้นฟูสภาพผู้พิการในชุมชนให้สามารถฝึกปฏิบัติช่วยเหลือคนพิการทางกายได้จริง ควรมีบทบาทในการ จัดทำข้อมูลหรือทะเบียนผู้พิการในชุมชน โรงพยาบาลส่งเสริมสุขภาพตำบลควรจัดอบรมให้ความรู้ด้านการดูแล ผู้พิการแก่อาสาสมัครสาธารณสุข และมีการนิเทศติดตามผลการปฏิบัติงานของอาสาสมัครสาธารณสุขในการ ดูแลผู้พิการในชุมชน องค์การบริหารส่วนตำบลนาเคียน ควรสนับสนุนงบประมาณแก่อาสาสมัครสาธารณสุข ในการดำเนินกิจกรรมดูแลผู้พิการ และควรส่งเสริมการสร้างอาชีพแก่ผู้พิการในชุมชน

ข้อเสนอแนะ โรงพยาบาลส่งเสริมสุขภาพตำบล ควรมีการสนับสนุนให้มีการอบรมเพิ่มเติมความรู้แก่ อาสาสมัครสาธารณสุขในการดูแลผู้พิการในชุมชน การเพิ่มขีดความสามารถในการปฏิบัติงานด้านการรับข่าวสาร การจัดบริการ และการประสานงานเครือข่ายพหุภาคี และสนับสนุนในเรื่อง ค่าตอบแทน เพื่อกระตุ้นและสร้าง แรงจูงใจในการปฏิบัติงานของอาสาสมัครสาธารณสุข

Village Health Volunteers’ Knowledge and Performance in the Care of People with Disabilities: A Case Study of Nakean Community, Muang Nakhon Si Thamarat

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to identify the knowledge level and skills of village health volunteers and guidelines for developing a health volunteer system in response to the care of people with disabilities. A questionnaire was used to collect the data from 114 health volunteers. Three health care personnel working with these volunteers were also interviewed. The data were analyzed using frequency, percentage, standard deviation, t-test, and one-way ANOVA.

The results revealed that most of the sample were female, aged 21-40 years old and educated to primary school level, worked as employees with approximate salaries of 5,001-10,000 baht per month. A majority of them were married. Their families appreciated their voluntary health care work because this allowed them to help a poor person in the community. These volunteers were trained and had been working for about 6 to 10 years.

The study also demonstrated that the village health volunteers had knowledge and functions regarding the care for people with disabilities at a medium level (  = 3.69, S.D. = 0.79,  = 3.75, S.D. = 0.76). The opinions of these volunteers related to the health volunteer system development were significantly different across different levels of performance (F= 7.64, p < 0.05). The qualitative data showed that health volunteers should be trained in illness prevention and health promotion for people with disabilities. In addition, health volunteers should be involved in the management of database or registration of people with disabilities in their community. Furthermore, primary health care units should provide training and continual supervision of these volunteers.

The results from this study suggest primary health care units should support these volunteers to increase their knowledge and capability in health care information, health care service management, and multilateral network. Provision of remuneration is also suggested as positive reinforcement.
