แนวคิดและวิธีการประเมินความต้องการด้านจิตวิญญาณของผู้ป่วยมะเร็ง

บทคัดย่อ
การเจ็บป่วยด้วยโรคมะเร็งนอกจากจะสร้างความทุกข์ทรมานทางกายแล้ว ยังสร้างความทุกข์ทรมานทางจิตวิญญาณแก่ผู้ป่วยเป็นอย่างมาก ผู้ป่วยมะเร็งจึงมีความต้องการการดูแลด้านจิตวิญญาณสูง ควบคู่ไปกับการดูแลด้านร่างกาย จิตใจ และด้านสังคม เพื่อให้ผ่านพ้นจากภาวะวิกฤตของความทุกข์ทรมานทางจิตวิญญาณ หรือการเข้าสู่วาระสุดท้ายของชีวิตอย่างสงบ ดังนั้นความรู้ ความเข้าใจในมิติต่างๆ ของความต้องการด้านจิตวิญญาณ จะช่วยให้สามารถประเมินและให้การดูแลที่เหมาะสมแก่ผู้ป่วยมะเร็ง บทความนี้เพื่อนำเสนอแนวคิดและวิธีการประเมินความต้องการด้านจิตวิญญาณของผู้ป่วยมะเร็งในปัจจุบัน เพื่อให้บุคลากรด้านสุขภาพโดยเฉพาะพยาบาลวิชาชีพหรือผู้ดูแลมีความรู้ความเข้าใจเกี่ยวกับแนวคิดและวิธีการประเมิน อันจะนำไปสู่คุณภาพของการพยาบาลแบบองค์รวมและตอบสนองความต้องการด้านจิตวิญญาณในผู้ป่วยมะเร็งได้อย่างถูกต้องและเหมาะสม
