บทบาทของอาจารย์พยาบาลต่อ การนำแนวคิดการพยาบาลข้ามวัฒนธรรมสู่การปฏิบัติ

บทคัดย่อ

             จากการประกาศเปิดสมาคมประชาชาติแห่งเอเซียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ ทำให้ลักษณะของประชากรเปลี่ยนแปลงไปจากเดิม ความแตกต่างทางด้านสังคม วัฒนธรรม และแบบแผนการดูแลสุขภาพ ส่งผลต่อระบบบริการสาธารณสุขคือมีการเปลี่ยนแปลงรูปแบบการปฏิบัติการพยาบาลที่ต้องคำนึงถึงความแตกต่างทางวัฒนธรรม ความเชื่อ ค่านิยม ที่มีอิทธิพลต่อพฤติกรรมสุขภาพผู้รับบริการมากขึ้น ระบบการศึกษาทางการพยาบาลควรตระหนักถึงความสำคัญของการผลิตบัณฑิตทางการพยาบาลที่มีสมรรถนะการพยาบาลข้ามวัฒนธรรม

            อาจารย์พยาบาลจึงมีบทบาทสำคัญในการพัฒนาศักยภาพนักศึกษาพยาบาลให้มีความพร้อมในการดูแลผู้รับบริการต่างวัฒนธรรมทั้งด้านความรู้ และทักษะการปฏิบัติการพยาบาล เพื่อให้ผู้รับบริการได้รับการบริการที่สอดคล้องกับความเชื่อ และค่านิยมมากที่สุดและรู้สึกพึงพอใจในการเข้ารับบริการ ซึ่งบทความวิชาการนี้จะกล่าวถึง ความหมายของการพยาบาลข้ามวัฒนธรรม ความสำคัญของการพยาบาลข้ามวัฒนธรรม ทฤษฎีที่เกี่ยวข้องกับการพยาบาลข้ามวัฒนธรรม และเพื่อให้ผู้อ่านได้ประโยชน์สูงสุด สามารถนำไปใช้ในทางปฏิบัติได้จริง ประเด็นสุดท้ายที่นำเสนอจึงเป็นเรื่องที่เกี่ยวข้องกับบทบาทของอาจารย์พยาบาลในการนำแนวคิดการพยาบาลข้ามวัฒนธรรมสู่การปฏิบัติ

The Role of Nursing Instructors in

Applying the Concept of Transcultural Nursing into Practice

Abstract

            The announcement from the Association of Southeast Asian Nation has resulted in the change of population nature. Diversities in society, culture and health care patterns require the nursing practice to be transcultural approach. Transcultural nursing emphasizes beliefs andvalues which influence health care behavior. Nursing education should be more concern about the development of transcultural competency in the nursing graduates. Nursing Instructors play a crucial role in the development of nursing students to be ready to care in a multicultural setting with respect to attitude, knowledge, and nursing practice. Transcultural care should be promoted for client’s optimum benefit and satisfaction. This article will discuss the definition, implications of transcultural care, the importance of transcultural care, and theories involving transcultural care. To make it applicable for the readers, the roles of nursing instructors in applying the concept of transcultural nursing into practice.
