Submission

1. Journal Workflow

       To help authors understand the editorial process from manuscript submission to publication, the Journal of Public Health Research, Ubon Ratchathani Rajabhat University has established a Journal Workflow, as illustrated in the workflow diagram. Details of each stage are provided below.

  • Step 1: Submission
    • Authors submit manuscripts through the ThaiJO online system together with all required supporting documents.
  • Step 2: Initial Editorial Screening
    • The journal office checks the completeness of the submission and the manuscript format.
  • Step 3: Editorial Screening
    • The Editorial Board evaluates the manuscript for relevance to the journal scope, academic quality, and originality, including similarity checking.
  • Step 4: Peer Review
    • Manuscripts that pass editorial screening undergo Double-Blind Peer Review by at least three independent reviewers.
  • Step 5: Revision and Editorial Decision
    • Authors revise the manuscript in response to the reviewers’ comments, after which the Editor makes a decision to accept, request further revision, or reject the manuscript.
  • Step 6: Production
    • Accepted manuscripts proceed through copyediting, layout editing, proofreading, DOI registration, and metadata preparation.
  • Step 7: Publication
    • The final article is published through the ThaiJO platform and submitted to relevant databases in accordance with the journal’s policy.

2. Online Submission

To submit a manuscript, please register (if you are a new user) or log in to the ThaiJO online submission system.

3. Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission’s compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  • The manuscript has not been previously published, nor is it currently under consideration by another journal. If applicable, an explanation has been provided in the Comments to the Editor.
  • The manuscript is submitted in Microsoft Word (.docx) format (Microsoft Word 2010 or later).
  • The manuscript is single-spaced, uses a 12-point font, employs italics rather than underlining (except for URL addresses), and all figures, tables, and illustrations are embedded within the text at the appropriate locations rather than placed at the end of the manuscript.
  • The manuscript complies with the formatting and referencing requirements described in the Author Guidelines.
  • Where available, URLs or DOIs for all references have been provided.

5. Types of Manuscripts

Original Articles

  • Original Articles report the results of original research related to Public Health and Health Sciences. Topics include environmental health sciences, occupational health and safety, health education and health promotion, epidemiology and biostatistics, nutrition, public health administration, and related disciplines. Recommended length:Not more than 10 A4 pages.

Review Articles

  • Review Articles provide comprehensive and critical syntheses of current knowledge on a specific topic based on published literature from national and international sources. The review should integrate existing evidence into new perspectives and include the author's critical analysis, interpretation, and recommendations. Topics may include environmental health sciences, occupational health and safety, health education and health promotion, epidemiology and biostatistics, nutrition, public health administration, and related fields. Recommended length:Not more than 5 A4 pages.

Special Articles

  • Special Articles present scholarly opinions or perspectives on contemporary issues relevant to Public Health and Health Sciences. They should provide insightful discussions linking current events or emerging phenomena of public interest with scientific knowledge and professional practice. Topics include environmental health sciences, occupational health and safety, health education and health promotion, epidemiology and biostatistics, nutrition, public health administration, and related disciplines.  Recommended length:Not more than 5 A4 pages.

  • The opinions, findings, and conclusions expressed in articles published in the Journal of Public Health Research, Ubon Ratchathani Rajabhat University, are solely those of the authors. The Editorial Board is not necessarily responsible for, or in agreement with, the views expressed in the published articles.
