Sanitation condition and screening of Salbutamol residual in pork which sell in the municipal fresh market, Nakhon Ratchasima Province

The purpose of this survey research is to investigate the municipal fresh market sanitation condition and screening of Salbutamol residual in pork which sell in the municipal fresh market, Nakhon Ratchasima province, Thailand. The Sample used in this study were separated into 2 groups, First, 9 of municipal fresh markets and Second, 60 of pork which sells in the municipal fresh market. Test kit for screening of Beta-agonist (Salbutamol) residual in pork and A two structured questionnaire for the assessment of developing and upgrading 9 of municipal fresh markets and assessment of clean pork shop were used in this study. Data were analyzed using percentage statistics.
The result found that 9 of municipal fresh markets were passed the assessment criteria. 8 from 9 municipal fresh market were passed from clean pork shop assessment criteria (88.9%). 100 % of the 60 pork samples contained Salbutamol residual. From the results of the study it can be shown that the Pork, which sold in the fresh market area of Nakhon Ratchasima Municipality, Mueang, Nakhon Ratchasima Province. There is also contamination of Salbutamol, although there are measures legally to control the contamination. The information from the study can be used as a guideline for pork suppliers, purchase pork from a licensed slaughterhouse to prevent harm that will occur to the consumers.
