Abstract
Incontinence Associated Dermatitis (IAD) occurred in 30% of patients with can't control bowel movements. By such condition, it affects both the body and mind. Because it causes pain suffering and if the skin condition is more severe will cause level 2 pressure injury resulting in increased cost of treatment more nurses. In addition, the patient has to stay in the hospital for longer. From the aforementioned problems and importance, the knowledge-building of caregivers/patients to prevent the development of Incontinence Associated Dermatitis (IAD so it is important. As an Enterostomal Therapy Nurse, one role in providing care is Enhancing knowledge of patient care. Therefore, knowledge enhancement on the prevention of dermatitis due to the inability to control the excretion properly and appropriately administering caregivers/patients is therefore essential to promote the quality of life of the patient.
