Relationship Between Health Literacy and COVID-19 Prevention Behaviors of COVID-19 Infected People During the Pandemic in 2021 and the First Trimester of 2022

Abstract
This survey research aimed to study the relationship between health literacy and COVID-19 prevention behaviors of COVID-19 infected people in Thailand during the pandemic in 2021 and the first trimester of 2022. The researchers used the health literacy framework of Nutbeam D. for this study. The samples were COVID-19 infected people who had been cured during the pandemic in 2021 and the first trimester of 2022. The 350 samples were recruited with snowball sampling. Data from the questionnaires were collected by online Google Form and were analyzed by percent, means, standard deviation, Pearson’s product moment correlation. The overall results showed that COVID-19 infected people have average level of health literacy and Covid-19 Prevention Behaviors of COVID-19. When categorized by aspects, it were three aspects found that accessibility to COVID-19 prevention information, self-management skill before contracting COVID-19 and decision and problems after Covid-19 infection were good level of health literacy. The other two items were knowledge and understanding of COVID-19 prevention guidelines and media literacy at average level of health literacy. The relationship between health literacy and COVID-19 prevention behaviors of COVID-19 infected people. The results showed that COVID-19 Infected people had moderate level health literacy and negative correlation of COVID-19 prevention behaviors of COVID-19 with statistical significance (p < 0.01).
