Abstract
คลองรากฟันรูปซีมีรูปร่างเหมือนตัวอักษรซีในรากฟันรูปซี ซึ่งพบร่องตามแนวยาวที่รากฟันโดยไม่คำนึงว่าคลองรากฟันหรือรูเปิดคลองรากแยกจากกันหรือไม่1 Manning ค.ศ. 1990 อธิบายว่าสาเหตุหลักของรากฟันรูปซีเกิดจากเยื่อบุผิวหุ้มรากเฮิร์ตวิกไม่เชื่อมต่อระหว่างรากฟันด้านแก้มและลิ้น จึงมีคลองรากฟันรูปซีภายใน หรืออาจเกิดจากการสะสมของเคลือบรากฟันระหว่างรากฟัน
