The Enhancement of Happiness at Work Model for Covid-19 Prevention and Control of Village Health Volunteers, Nan Province.

Abstract

This action research aimed to develop model and assess the enhancement of happiness at work for COVID-19 prevention and control of village health volunteers, Nan Province. Sample group comprised 1,053 individuals selected by purposive sampling. Data collection methods included a set of questionnaires, focus group discussions, in-depth interviews, observations and field notes. Data were analyzed by using frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation and pair t-test. Qualitative data were
analyzed by content analysis.

The results showed that the enhancement of happiness at work model for COVID-19 prevention and control of village health volunteer model consisted of 4 issues including 1) capacity building for COVID-19 prevention and control 2) procurement of materials and equipment for COVID-19 prevention and control 3) the morale of work performance for COVID-19 prevention and control and 4) participation of network area. Implementation of practice and evaluation showed that after the development, village health volunteers had knowledge, skills and behavior about COVID-19 higher than before the implementation with statistically significant at .05. It was also found that the community members and network participatinon in COVID-19 prevention and control resulted in higher happiness at work of village health volunteer for COVID-19 prevention and control than before implementation of the model with statistically significant at .05.
