Abstract

Introduction : Unstable Pelvic Ring Injuries are able to get loss of high volume of patient’s blood and have 25 percent of death opportunity. The pelvic binder must be used for stopping movement and bleeding. Orthopedists of Maharat Nakhon Si Thammarat Hospital normally use diagonal wrapping bandages for wrapping pelvis and twist both sides of the edges of bandage for adjoining together, and then use clipper tiding the bandage that it spends long time for treatment and often gliding.
Methods : Selection of 24 unstable pelvic injury patients who have got treatment at Maharat Nakhon Si Thammarat Hospital and wrapping with Pranpawee Pelvic Binder. Collecting information
of treatment timing, binder gliding rate, comparing the before and after x-ray films to measure the length of pelvis wrapping with Pranpawee pelvic binder. Statistics used are percentage, mean, and t-test.
Result : Time spending for wrapping with Pranpawee pelvic binder was less than five minutes, and there was not discovering the binder gliding. The space between the length of before and after horizontally wrapping was reduced significantly.
Conclusion : Pranpawee pelvic binder is efficiently assisting treatment more faster, no gliding, and wrapping split pelvis to be firmed stably.
