An Evaluation on District Health System in Chumphon Province : A Case Study Of Tungtako District, Chumphon Province.

Abstract

This research intend to evaluate the effectiveness of the District
Health System in Chumphon Province. The study is adapted Stufflebeam’s
CIPP Model to analyze the context, input resource, internal process and
the Output. Data was collected through report and direct interview of 30
main reporters and a survey of recognition and perception of 26 health
personel in subdistrict health center of Tungtako District, Chumphon
province. Data was collectedbetween 1 January to 30 April 2015. The
data was analyzed through content analysis and descriptive analysis.
The research revealed that:
1. 80% of District health system commette ,public health administrator
and local administrator accepted that the project is appropriate
with the government’s policy and community requirement.
2. The project advantage is the community participation management
through Planning, Implementation, project budgeting and evaluation.
3. The project has a hierachical line of management through
provincial and district level. The participants were well-prepared with
proper job assignment through brainstorming and panel discussion.The
Internal process was well-shaped with continuous conduction and supervision.
recognition that the local administration body is the main organization
for budgeting and intersectorial collaboration for community
health problem activity. Besides, District health networking has drawn
plan for health promotion and health prevention and control for diseases
and health hazard of community .In summary the Government
sector, Loacal Administrative bodies and the community agreed that the
District health system is suitable and beneficial to the community. The
community was provoked to awareness and realize in participating in the
prevention and control of the community health problem. The project should
be continue perform.
