Computerized Tomography features of hepatic injury in blunt abdominal trauma: Case study in Takuapa Hospital

Abstract

              Hepatic injury is common and important condition in blunt abdominal injury. Computerized Tomogaphy is the major role for evaluate hepatic injury. The CT findings of hepatic injury are divided into major and minor features. The major features are composed of intrahepatic and subcapsular hematoma, liver laceration, active hemorrhage and major venous injury. The periportal low attenuation and flattening of inferior venacava are minor features. The hepatic injury grading according to American Association for the Surgery of Trauma (AAST) shows severity and prognos is of injury which use for treatment planing.
