The Experience in Penoscrotal flaps and V-Y release flaps for penile paraffinoma

Objective : To report the surgical treatment of Penile paraffinoma (oleogranuloma or sclerosing lipogranuloma or Foreign body granuloma ) at Suratthani Hospital.
Medthods : The study from October 2011 to September 2014 among 50 male patients. All cases have complication including fibrosis, difficult and painful in erection. All cases were operated to remove the total penile skin and subcutaneous tissue with followed by Penoscrotal flap and V-Y flap release technique (One-stage)
Results : Patients have mean age 28.5 years and duration of injected 2.5years before operations. Mean times of operation were 100 minutes. The early postoperative complications were wound infection 4 case(8%), wound dehiscence 5 case (10%), skin maceration 4 case(8%), not found skin necrosis and not to interfere with patients satisfaction or sexual function.
Conclusion : Removing the total penile skin and subcutaneous tissue with followed by Penoscrotal flap and V-Y flap release technique (One-stage) were the choice for the surgical treatment of penile paraffinoma. It was easy technique .All patients have satisfied the outcome of treatment and no severe complications.
