ปัจจุบันการดูแลรักษาทางการแพทย์มีความก้าวหน้าอย่างมาก ส่งผลให้ทารกเกิดก่อนกำหนดและ น้ำหนักแรกเกิดน้อยมีโอกาสรอดชีวิตมากขึ้น จึงตรวจพบโรคจอประสาทตาผิดปกติในทารกเกิดก่อนกำหนดเพิ่มขึ้น การศึกษานี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อค้นหาความชุกและปัจจัยที่มีผลต่อโรคจอประสาทตาผิดปกติในทารกเกิดก่อนกำหนดในโรงพยาบาลกำแพงเพชร ศึกษาข้อมูลในทารกเกิดก่อนกำหนดที่มารับการตรวจจอประสาทตาโดยวิธีขยายม่านตาทุกรายในแผนกผู้ป่วยนอก กลุ่มงานจักษุวิทยา และหอผู้ป่วยทารกแรกเกิดระยะวิกฤต โรงพยาบาลกำแพงเพชร ระยะเวลาตั้งแต่วันที่ 1 มกราคม 2559 ถึงวันที่ 31 พฤษภาคม 2560 โดยทารกทุกรายได้รับการตรวจตาและวินิจฉัยโรคจอประสาทตาผิดปกติในทารกเกิดก่อนกำหนดโดยจักษุแพทย์ท่านเดียว เก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลจากแบบเก็บรวบรวมที่ผู้วิจัยสร้างขึ้น ประกอบด้วยข้อมูลเพศ อายุครรภ์ น้ำหนักแรกเกิด ระยะเวลาที่ได้รับออกซิเจน และระดับความรุนแรงของโรคจอประสาทตาผิดปกติในทารกเกิดก่อนกำหนด วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยใช้สถิติเชิงพรรณนาสำหรับข้อมูลทั่วไปและสถิติเชิงวิเคราะห์เพื่อหาปัจจัยที่มีผลต่อโรคจอประสาทตาผิดปกติในทารกเกิดก่อนกำหนด โดยใช้สถิติ Chi-Square Test และ Fisher’s Exact Test พบทารกเกิดก่อนกำหนดมารับการตรวจจอประสาทตาจำนวน 269 ราย เป็นเพศชาย 142 ราย เพศหญิง 127 ราย ทารกส่วนใหญ่มีอายุระหว่าง 29 – 34 สัปดาห์ จากการศึกษาพบทารกแรกเกิดมีจอประสาทตาผิดปกติ 27 ราย (ร้อยละ 10) แบ่งเป็นโรคจอประสาทตาผิดปกติชนิด Prethreshold 25 ราย (ร้อยละ 9.3) และโรคจอประสาทตาผิดปกติชนิด Threshold 2 ราย (ร้อยละ 0.7) ปัจจัยที่มีผลต่อโรคจอประสาทตาผิดปกติในทารกเกิดก่อนกำหนด ได้แก่ ระยะเวลาที่ได้รับออกซิเจน อายุครรภ์และน้ำหนักแรกเกิด พบว่ามีความสัมพันธ์กับการเกิดโรคจอประสาทตาผิดปกติในทารกเกิดก่อนกำหนดอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติ ดังนั้น การดูแลทารกเกิดก่อนกำหนดอย่างถูกต้องเหมาะสมและการตรวจคัดกรองโรคจอประสาทตาผิดปกติในทารกตามข้อแนะนำของราชวิทยาลัยจักษุแพทย์แห่งประเทศไทยจะช่วยลดการเกิดโรคจอประสาทตาผิดปกติในทารกเกิดก่อนกำหนดได้
