การวิจัยเชิงวิเคราะห์แบบตัดขวางเรื่องปัจจัยที่มีความสัมพันธ์กับการให้เลือดในผู้ป่วยที่ได้รับการผ่าตัดเปลี่ยนข้อเข่าข้อสะโพกเทียม ที่มารับการผ่าตัดในรพร.เดชอุดม เพื่อศึกษาปัจจัย ได้แก่ อายุ, ดัชนีมวลกาย, โรคประจำตัว,ระดับฮีโมโกลบินก่อนการผ่าตัด, การได้รับเลือดก่อนการผ่าตัด, ชนิดการผ่าตัด, การได้รับยา tranexamic acid,ปริมาณสารนํ้าที่ให้ในระหว่างการผ่าตัด และปริมาณเลือดที่สูญเสียระหว่างการผ่าตัดมีความสัมพันธ์กับการให้เลือดหรือไม่ โดยทำการวิจัยในผู้ป่วยทั้งหมด 98 คน ระหว่างวันที่ 1 ม.ค. 2556 - 31 ธ.ค. 2560 เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัย ได้แก่แบบบันทึก วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยใช้สถิติพรรณนา ได้แก่ ร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน สถิติอนุมาน ได้แก่ Chi-square test และ Fisher’s exact test
ผลการวิจัยพบว่าปัจจัยที่สัมพันธ์กับการให้เลือดในผู้ป่วยผ่าตัดเปลี่ยนข้อเข่าเทียมและข้อสะโพกเทียม ได้แก่ ผู้ป่วยที่มีอายุมากกว่า 70 ปี, ผู้ป่วยที่มีดัชนีมวลกายน้อยกว่า 18.5 กก./ตร.ม., มีโรคประจำตัวโลหิตจาง, มีระดับฮีโมโกลบินก่อนการผ่าตัดน้อยว่า 10 g/dL, ผู้ป่วยที่ได้รับเลือดก่อนการผ่าตัด, ผู้ป่วยที่ได้รับการผ่าตัด cemented bipolar hemiarthroplasty และ total hip arthroplasty, ผู้ป่วยที่ไม่ได้รับยา tranexamic acid, ได้รับปริมาณสารนํ้าที่ในระหว่างการผ่าตัดมากกว่า 2,000 มล.และผู้ป่วยที่มีปริมาณเลือดที่สูญเสียระหว่างการผ่าตัดมากกว่าหรือเท่ากับ 250 มล.
