Abstract

Facial telangiectases are common cosmetic problems for the concerning patients. The developments of these skin lesions are multifactorial. Many kinds of treatment have been suggested, however, the results are not satisfied or accompanied with unacceptable side effects. Nowadays, lasers have been focused for management of these vessels.
We have studied the result of the treatment of facial telangiectases with a cooling contact variable pulsewidth I 064 nm Nd: Y AG laser in 14 patients with skin type 3 to 5. Significant improvement was observed in 57, I% and 64.3% of the treated sites at one week and one month-follow up. The incidence of complications is very low and all are reversible.
