Abstract

Dermatomyositis is an autoimmune inflammatory disorder of the skin and muscle, characterized by certain cutaneous features such as Gottron's papules, heliotrope erythema and poikilodermatous with a rarely described cutaneous feature 'mechanis's hand' which may serve as a useful diagnostic aid.
