Keratoacantoma centrifugum marginatum: a case report

Abstract

A 60-year-old Thai woman who had multiple lesions of keratoacanthoma centrifugum marginatum (KCM) was reported. She also had plaque type psoriasis which was treated with topical corticosteroid and coal tar for 3 years. KCM lesions developed on extensor surface of forearm bilaterally on normal skin which had no previous psoriatic lesion at those sites. She had never been treated with PUV A or systemic methotrexate before. KCM lesions were treated with oral acitretin 25 mg daily for 6 months with a very good response. The KCM lesions recurred after discontinuation of the treatment for 5 months. The patient was lost to follow up due to financial problem. Alternative way of treatment and the relationship between KCM and psoriasis were reviewed.
