Abstract

In this study, the researcher studied (1) factors exerting effects on the stress of Medical Records personnel at Siriraj Hospital; and (2) the relationships of factors exerting effects on the stress of the personnel. The samples consisted of 117 Medical Records personnel employed at Siriraj Hospital. Using techniques of descriptive statistics, the researcher analyzed the data collected in terms of percentage, mean, and standard deviation. Pearson’s product moment correlation coefficient method and stepwise multiple regression analysis (SMRA) were also employed by the researcher. Statistical significance was set at the .05 level.

Findings were as follows:

  1. The personnel under study exhibited stress at the high level (40.20 percent).

  2. The factors of work and family were found to be positively correlated with the stress of the personnel at the statistically significant level of .05.

          3. Insofar as concerned predictive factors, at 29 percent, the factors of work and family exerted effects on the stress of the personnel at the statistically significant level of .05.
