THE EFFECTS OF LEARNING ACTIVITIES BASED ON THE CONCEPT OF LOCATION-BASED FOR SCHOOL CURRICULUM OF STUDENTS IN SECONDARY SCHOOLS

Abstract
The purposes of this research were to 1) compare learning achievements of students from learning activities based on the concept of location-based, 2) Investigate the satisfaction of learners with learning activities based on the concept of location-based. The target subjects were high school students taking the course on logistics and local products. 30 high school students, who volunteered, from Sung Men Chanupatham School in Phrae Province, joined the research project. The students were allowed to choose lessons according to their interest and aptitude. The curriculum used to make the set of activities was logistics curriculum, which possessed features of occupational context in Phrae. The following instruments used in this study were: 1) learning activities based on the concept of location-based 2) achievement test, and 3) a questionnaire of students’ satisfaction.
The study revealed the following results: 1) The achievement of students from learning activities based on the concept of location-based in the post-test was higher than that in the pre-test with statistical significance at the .05 level; 2) Students were satisfied with the learning activities based on the concept of location-based at a high level ( = 3.74, S.D. = 0.36).
