SCORING RUBRIC ASSESSMENT CRITERION CONSTRUCTION OF SHOT DISTANCE RUNNING SKILLS FOR STUDENTS OF INSTITUTE OF PHYSICAL EDUCATION CHUMPHON CAMPUS

Abstract
The purpose of the study was to construct scoring rubric assessment criteria of short distance running skills for students of Institute of Physical Education Chumphon Campus. The samples were 30 first-year students consisting of 15 males and 15 females who enrolled in PE 031109 course: Track and Field Skills and Instruction in 2nd semester, academic year 2018. The instrument used to collect the data was short distance running skill assessment form. Data were analyzed by utilizing mean, standard deviation, Pearson’s Product-Moment Correlation Coefficient, and t-test.
Based on the analysis of the gathered data, the findings showed that: 1) the IOC of content validity of the developed 5-running-skill-assessment criteria was found at 0.89, 1.00, 0.88, 0.92, and 0.83 respectively, and the total validity was rated at 0.90; 2) the test-retest reliability of the 5-skill-running-assessment criteria was found at 0.84, 0.77, 0.88, 0.67, and 0.72 respectively, and the total reliability was rated at 0.83. However, the study was also found that all mentioned reliability values were considered to be at “high and very high” levels.
