Abstract

The purposes of this research were: to develop the model for teachers’ competency development in learning management by using lesson study, and to evaluate the model for teachers’ competency development in learning management by using lesson study process. The samples consisted of 388 primary school teachers under public schools selected with the stratified random sampling method. The data were collected with questionnaires being used as a means to inquire into the teacher’s competency development in learning management by lesson study process. The data analysis was then conducted by descriptive statistics, i.e. frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and interquartile range, as well as content analysis. The research findings were as follows: 1) the model was suitable at the highest level and consistent with all issues. 2) The average scores on knowledges and concepts after using model were significantly higher than that before using the model at.05 levels. 3) The model’s effectiveness was evaluated by the four-dimension evaluating model by Stufflebeam D. L., Madaus G. F. & Kellaghan T. (2001) and it showed that the average scores were more than 3.50 in all standards according to the efficiency criteria.
