Institute of Physical Education Development's Directions as a local Higher Education for Next Decade

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to study the developmental directions of Institute of Physical Education in the next decade covering philosophy, visions, objectives, learning and teaching curriculum, social academical service, personnel administration, financial and property management, and trends. The methods utilized were Delphi Technique process and survey research. The finding indicated that the opinion in the developmental of Institute of Physical Education in the next decade among institutional administrators, level 6 secondary school students, bachelor degree university students, and locality leaders were still different. However, they were agreeable to emphasize that the Institute of Physical Education should be independence managed itself, believe firmly in education for all principles, using the efficiency and economize administration, manipulating the high quality long distance learning technology. More specifically, the Institute should be emphasized as a center of physical education, health education, sports, and recreation development. Apart from that, the systematic institute development should be accordingly employed by setting philosophy, visions, objectives, learning and teaching curriculum, social acadernical service, personnel administration, financial and property management. The effective practices and innovations should also be developed for quality of Institute of Physical Education.
