Abstract

The purposes of this research were to study and compare the actual and expected characteristics of a leader in recreation according to opinions of administrators and lecturers under the Institute of Physical Education, Central Region Campus in personal and specialized aspects classified by sex, level of education, and marriage status. The sample consisted of 176 administrators and lecturers from Bangkok, Chonburi, Samusakhon, Suphanburi, and Angthong Campus of Institute of Physical Education. The instrument used in collecting data was five rating scales questionnaire. Frequency distribution, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and independent t-test were used as the statistical devices for analysis of data.

The research findings were as follows:

1. The opinions of administrators and lecturers on all actual and expected characteristics of a leader in recreation were high level. ( - 3.69, S.D. = 0.61 และ = 4.47, S.D. = 0.53)

In each factor was found that the opinions of administrators and lecturers on actual characteristics were high level in both personal and specialized aspects. ( = 3.76, S.D. = 0.64 และ = 3.62, S.D. = 0.64)

For opinions on expected characteristics in personal aspect were very high level ( = 4.50, S.D. = 0.55), and high level for the specialized aspect. ( = 4.44, S.D. = 0.54)

1. The opinions of administrators and lecturers between male and female on actual characteristics of a leader in recreation were significantly different at the .05 level. ( = 3.80, S.D. = 0.54 และ = 3.56, S.D. = 0.66)


2. The opinions of administrators and lecturers between male and female on expected characteristics of a lcader in recreation were no significant differences. ( = 4.46, S.D. = 0.51 และ = 4.49, S.D. = 0.56)


3. The opinions of administrators and lecturers between the different of educational level on actual characteristics of a leader in recreation were no significant differences. ( = 3.76, S.D. = 0.60 และ = 387, S.D. = 0.61)


4. The opinions of administrators and lecturers between the different of educational level on expected characteristics of a leader in recreation were no significant differences ( = 455, S.D. = 0.32 และ = 4.45, S.D. = 0.58)


5. The opinions of administrators and lecturers between the different of marriage status on actual characteristics of a leader in recreation were significantly different at the .05 level. ( = 3.88, S.D. = 0.55 และ = 3.64, S.D. = 0.61)


6. The opinions of administrators and lecturers between the different of marriage stalus on expected characteristics of a leader in recreation were significantly different at the 05 level. ( = 4.68, S.D. = 0.32 และ = 4.41, S.D. = 0.56)
