FACTORS RELATED TO THE SUCCESS OF RECREATION MANAGEMENT AT NONG NOOCH PATTAYA PARK IN CHONBURI PROVINCE

Abstract

The objectives of this research were to 1) study the factors for success of recreation tourism management of Nong Nooch Tropical Garden Pattaya in Chonburi, 2) compare factors affecting recreation tourism managements of Nongnooch Garden Pattaya in Chonburi classified by the demographic factors, 3) propose management recreation tourism guidelines. This research was conducted in a quantitative research method. The sample size was conducted by the table of khret and Morgan (R.V. Krejcie and D.W. Morgan) (Bunchom Srisaad, 1989) from a population of 420 people by allowing research aberration does not exceed ± 5% with 95% confidence, or select the .05 significance level, so there were 201 samples in this study. Then they were classified by stratified sampling and using simple random sampling. Data analysis was conducted, statistics, percentage, average and standard deviation of t-test and use of statistics (ANOVA or f - test).


          The results showed that the factors for success in the management of tourism facilities at Nong Nooch Tropical Garden Pattaya, Chonburi Province were found at a high level as a whole (gif.latex?\bar{x} = 4.04), (S.D. = 0.64) when considering the sort of averaging descending include budget (gif.latex?\bar{x} = 4.07), (S.D. = 0.69), and the method of administration management (gif.latex?\bar{x}  = 0.69), (S.D. = 0.69), with the average score equal. The major source of the materials (gif.latex?\bar{x}  = 4.05), (S.D. = 0.70) and on average there were fewer personnel (gif.latex?\bar{x} = 3.97), (S.D. = 0.72), respectively. The personnel of Nongnooch Garden Pattaya in Chon Buri with different demographic characteristics: sex, age, salary and working experience had different opinions towards the factors affecting for recreation tourism managements at Nongnooch Garden Pattaya in Chonburi. The recreation tourism management for successful must contain 4 factors: 1. financial factors: plan must have a clear procurement. 2. Management factors: management structure should be divided in each agency, with clarity. 3. Material factors: workplace should be managed to work easy and affordable, and 4. the personnel factor: personnel must have a sufficient workload and the personnel should be encouraged to work in harmony.
