Abstract

The purpose of this quasi-experimental research was to develop and evaluate the physical activity program for enhancing personal and social responsibility of Rajabhat University students. Samples were 120 Loei Rajabhat University students who were selected by purposive sampling from 11 Rajabhat universities in the northeast group. Samples were assigned to do the personal and social responsibility evaluation questionnaire. Then, researcher arranged the scores from the highest to the lowest, and selected 30 samples who had score above the mean and below the mean by match-paired sampling into control and experimental groups. The research instruments were 1) the personal and social responsibility evaluation questionnaire (IOC= 0.60-1.00, Cronbach Alpha coefficient reliability = .87), and 2) the physical activity program for enhancing personal and social responsibility of students (the face validity was approved by 5 physical education experts). Data were analyzed by using mean, standard deviation and t - test.

Findings were found that after attending the 8-week physical activity program, students in experimental group had better personal and social responsibility scores than before (p < 0.05). There were statistically significant differences in personal and social responsibility scores between the students in experimental group and the control group (p < 0.05). It can be concluded that the physical activity program had positive effect on the personal and social responsibility of Rajabhat University students.
