Abstract

This research aimed to study the working women’s health and factors promoting it as well as suggest ways to enhance working health. The mixed methods, both qualitative and quantitative, were used in this research. 180 working women (60 people each from Yala, Pattani, and Narathiwat) were selected purposively as the samples. The data were collected from the questionnaire and the interview with the focus group. The statistics used for analyzing the data were frequency, percentage, standard deviation, and content analysis.

The results showed that factors enhancing the wellness of the working women from both government and private sectors in the southern border provinces were happiness in the workplace, career stability and advancement, acceptance from others, promotion, fair incomes, and the great boss and colleagues. Therefore, to have a healthy organization, it is important to consider people’s health in the workplace. The results also showed that the ways to enhance working women’s health in the organizations involved the physical environment and the psychosocial work environment, and the relationships between the community and the organization.
