Abstract

The purposes of this study were to study and compare the self-esteem of students before and after organizing contemplative activities. The sample group consisted of 20 students studying sports for health in the final part of 2nd semester, the academic year 2023. The instruments used to collect data were 1) a mental activity plan and 2) a self-esteem assessment form. Statistics analyzed the data, percentage, mean, standard deviation, Cronbach's alpha coefficient, independent t-test, content analysis and comparing the means before and after the experiment using the t-test (paired samples t-test). The significant difference level was set at the .05 level.


Results were found that: -


  1. The assessment form for disposal activities on contemplative thinking is appropriate at the highest level with a total mean of 4.69±0.19.

  2. Assessment of pride of students who received contemplative activities 20 items. The researchers developed it as a quality assessment that can be used. It has a content reliability value of 0.66-1.00 and a reliability value of 0.97.

  3. Comparison of students' self-esteem before and after disposal of contemplative activities was found there is a difference of means after the experiment than before the experiment of recipients of mental-intellectual activities statistically significant at 0.05.
