DEVELOPMENT OF A TEQBALL COURSE CURRICULUM FOR HIGHER EDUCATION: A CASE STUDY OF THAILAND NATIONAL SPORTS UNIVERSITY

Abstract

The objectives of this research were: (1) to study the basic information and needs for the Teqball Course for Higher Education of TNSU (2) to develop the Teqball Course for Higher Education of TNSU (3) to compare the learning outcomes before and after studying the Teqball Course for Higher Education of TNSU and (4) to examine the students' satisfaction with the Teqball Course for Higher Education of TNSU. The research process consisted of four phases. Phase 1: Step 1: Study the basic information, targeting 6 individuals involved with the curriculum and Teqball. Step 2: Survey the curriculum needs with 390 individuals, including administrators, instructors responsible for the Bachelor of Education in Physical Education, and physical education students from TNSU. Phase 2: Develop the curriculum, draft the course, and have the curriculum reviewed by experts. Phase 3: Implement a pilot curriculum test with a sample of 30 physical education students at the Samut Sakhon campus TNSU. Phase 4: Evaluate and revise the curriculum by assessing students' academic achievement before and after using the curriculum, and evaluate the students' level of satisfaction with the course.


          The research findings revealed that: 1) The administrators, instructors, and students of the TNSU express a desire to develop a Teqball course. 2) The Teqball course consists of concepts, principles, goals, objectives, course description, learning outcomes, course structure, lesson plans, learning management, learning materials, and assessment and evaluation methods. 3) The students' academic achievement after using the course is higher than before using it. 4) The students' satisfaction with the curriculum is at the highest level.
