Abstract

This research aims to study the needs and guidelines for the development of the Bachelor of Science in Sports Science and Exercise curriculum at the Faculty of Sports Science and Health, Thailand National Sports University, Yala Campus. The study involved 360 stakeholders, selected through purposive sampling. The research instruments included questionnaires and semi-structured interviews, with a content validity index (CVI) of 0.87 and a reliability score of 0.97 Data analyzed by descriptive statistics, including mean and standard deviation. The results revealed the following five key areas for curriculum development. 1. Knowledge: Emphasizing a comprehensive understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects within the field, as well as the necessary foundational and related knowledge that can be effectively applied in real-world situations. The ability to communicate in a second language is also essential. 2. Skills: Highlighting the importance of lifelong learning, staying updated with professional knowledge, as well as teaching and leadership skills in exercise. 3. Ethics: Fostering professional integrity, confidentiality, providing truthful information, and adhering to professional ethics and legal standards. 4. Character: Encouraging a positive attitude towards learning and working, adaptability, accept new knowledge, good personality, interpersonal relationships, and essential life skills. 5. Curriculum Management: Integrating theoretical and practical learning with professional experiences, ensuring the curriculum is modern and meets societal and professional demands, supported by the use of modern learning tools and equipment.
