Abstract

This research aimed to 1) study the effect of flipped classroom learning management on the academic achievement in physical education of Mathayomsuksa 1 students, and 2) compare the academic achievement in physical education of Mathayomsuksa 1 students between the experimental and control groups. The sample consisted of 60 Mathayomsuksa 1 students, divided into 30 in the control group and 30 in the experimental group, selected by simple random sampling. The instruments were 1) a physical education learning management plans based on the flipped classroom concept, 2) a regular physical education learning management plans, 3) a knowledge achievement test, and 4) a skills achievement test. The statistics used were mean, standard deviation, and t-test independent.


The findings revealed that there was no significant difference in the mean pre-test scores of the academic achievement between the experimental and control groups in terms of knowledge and Chairball skills. However, the mean post-test scores of the academic achievement between the two groups in terms of knowledge and Chairball skills showed a statistical difference at a significance level of .05.
