บทคัดย่อ

Physical education (PE) in the digital age faces significant challenges and opportunities. This article showcases a study on learning in physical education, underscoring the significance of learning in a heavily digitally-influenced context. While this academic article addresses digital technology, it does not overly emphasize technology. Instead, it provides an overview of the transition from traditional to technology-integrated physical education, analyzing the impact of technology on students' physical activity and health, as well as the decline in physical movement due to digital lifestyles. The article also covers adaptations in physical education teaching, proposing effective technology-integrated learning strategies, and addressing approaches to combat the decline in physical activity. Additionally, the article discusses the challenges of assessing and evaluating physical education in the digital age, offering strategies and technological applications to enhance evaluation effectiveness. Furthermore, the study examines the role of social media in promoting physical education, analyzing both opportunities and challenges, and presenting case studies of creative social media use in physical education instruction. Another key issue is the development of physical education curricula to address the challenges of the digital age, suggesting ways to reform physical education in Thailand and prepare for the future. The article also discusses the crucial role of physical education teachers in facing the challenges of the digital age and developing digital skills. Finally, the article concludes by presenting a positive outlook on overcoming challenges and seizing opportunities to develop digital-age physical education, inspiring all stakeholders to work together to advance physical education to keep pace with the digital world and meet the needs of 21st-century learners.
