ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE AND PHYSICAL EDUCATION MEASUREMENT AND EVALUATION: OPPORTUNITIES, CHALLENGES AND FUTURE DIRECTIONS
Main Article Content
Abstract
This article aimed to synthesize concepts, theories, and research related to the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in physical education measurement and evaluation. It explored emerging trends in digital-era assessment, analyzed the potential and limitations of AI in evaluating physical fitness, motor skills, and learning outcomes, and proposed directions for developing AI-based assessment tools suited to the Thai context. The synthesis revealed that AI enhances accuracy, efficiency, and continuity in assessment processes while providing real-time feedback that supports student learning. However, challenges remain in terms of educator readiness, technological infrastructure, and ethical concerns regarding data privacy. The article concluded with policy and practice recommendations to promote capacity building among educators and the systematic integration of AI-driven assessment systems to enhance the quality and sustainability of physical education evaluation in Thailand.
