Abstract

Head injury has a tremendous forensic significance in terms of identifying a manner of death: accident, suicide or homicide. In some circumstances, such injuries may have an exclusive patterned injury that may be used to explain mechanisms of the injury, resulting in determining the manner of death correctly and precisely. However, in doing so it relies on a forensic pathologist who has enough knowledge and experiences to examine a deceased, interpret a finding, and come into a correct diagnosis. Otherwise it may lead a medicolegal death investigation to a wrong direction.
