Constructing Learning Space
Main Article Content
Abstract
Type of classroom influences student learning. The classroom should be set up to correlate
with curriculum and expected learning outcomes. There are at least two theories addressing
learner roles: learning pyramid, and experiential learning. The classroom is the most common form
of learning space with which people are familiar; in contrast, buildings, campuses, and cities are
less familiar as learning spaces. Classroom design should consider both physical and social factors.
In addition, “in-between” learning spaces should not be underestimated for development.
