บทคัดย่อ
งานกิจกรรมบำบัดเป็นทีมฟื้นฟูสมรรถภาพทางการเห็น ฝึกทักษะกิจวัตรประจำวันสำหรับผู้ป่วยตาบอดและสายตาเลือนรางให้สามารถช่วยเหลือตัวเองในชีวิตประจำวันได้ งานวิจัยนี้จึงมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างผลกระทบความผิดปกติทางการมองเห็น ภาระการดูแลของญาติ และระดับความสามารถในการปฏิบัติกิจวัตรประจำวัน งานวิจัยนี้เป็นการวิจัยเชิงพรรณนาศึกษาภาคตัดขวาง(Cross Sectional Study) รวบรวมข้อมูลในผู้ป่วยสายตาเลือนรางที่เข้ามารักษาที่งานกิจกรรมบำบัด โรงพยาบาลเมตตาประชารักษ์ (วัดไร่ขิง) จำนวน 38 คน คัดเลือกกลุ่มตัวอย่างแบบเฉพาะเจาะจงตามเกณฑ์ (Purposive Sampling) เก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลด้วยแบบสอบถาม ได้แก่ แบบสอบถามข้อมูลส่วนบุคคล แบบสอบถามผลกระทบของความผิดปกติในการมองเห็น (The Impact of Vision Impairment, IVI) แบบสอบถามเกี่ยวกับภาระการดูแล (Zarit Burden Interview Short Form) และแบบสอบถามกิจวัตรประจำวันสำหรับผู้ป่วยสายตาเลือนราง วิเคราะห์ด้วยสถิติที่ใช้ในการหาความสัมพันธ์โดยใช้สหสัมพันธ์แบบเพียร์สัน (Pearson Correlation)
ผลการศึกษา พบว่า กลุ่มตัวอย่างมีผลกระทบของความผิดปกติในการมองเห็น ไม่มีความสัมพันธ์เชิงบวกกับความสามารถในการปฏิบัติกิจวัตรประจำวันของผู้ป่วยสายตาเลือนราง (r = -.237; p=0.17) ในขณะที่ผลกระทบของความผิดปกติในการมองเห็น มีความสัมพันธ์เชิงบวกกับภาระการดูแลของญาติ (r = .177; p=0.08) และภาระการดูแลของญาติ มีความสัมพันธ์เชิงบวกกับความสามารถในการปฏิบัติกิจวัตรประจำวันของผู้ป่วยสายตาเลือนราง (r = .050; p=0.10) อย่างไม่มีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติ
ผลการศึกษาดังกล่าว สามารถนำไปสู่การปรับระบบบริการฟื้นฟูสมรรถภาพทางการเห็นของผู้ป่วยสายตาเลือนราง เพื่อเพิ่มระดับความสามารถในการปฏิบัติกิจวัตรประจำวันของผู้ป่วยสายตาเลือนรางที่ผู้ป่วยไม่สามารถทำได้ อาทิเช่น 1) อ่านหนังสือ 2) การล้างผลไม้ หั่นผลไม้ และ 3) การปรุงอาหาร
