A Study of Situation and Health Needs of People in the Area of Ratiyom Subdistrict Health Promotion Hospital, Sai Noi District, Nonthaburi

Abstract

This survey research aims to study the situation and the health needs of people in the area of Ratniyom health promoting hospital, Sai Noi District, Nonthaburi province. The samples were 3 staff of Ratniyom health promoting hospital and 97 people in the area of responsibility of Ratniyom health promoting hospital, Sai Noi District, Nonthaburi province. Research tools used in the study consisted of demographic and vital statistics data collection forms, interview form for staff of Tambon health promotion hospital and health needs questionnaire. Data was analyzed by content analysis, frequency distribution, percentage, average ( ) and standard deviation (SD). The study found that The majority of people are ill with high blood cholesterol, 14.76% and diabetes 11.10%. The staff at Ratniyom Subdistrict Health Promotion Hospital want to have academic services on caring for the elderly with dependence, dengue fever, chronic illness and adolescent pregnancy. As for the people with the highest mean health needs, the promotion, prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation of chronic disease patients ( = 4.62, SD = 0.74) and herbal compress ( = 4.62, SD = 0.62). Therefore, the study results should be considered in organizing the project activities to solve community health problems.
