Attitude toward Interprofessional Teamworking among Nursing Student, Prachomklao College of Nursing, Phetchaburi Province

This descriptive study aimed to analyze attitude toward interprofessional teamworking and relationship between the motivation in studying and attitude toward interprofessional teamworking among nursing students, Prachomklao College of Nursing, Phetchaburi province. The samples involved 174 nursing students (except the first year students). Two validated, self-reported questionnaires with multiple-choice questions were used for data collection. The attitude toward interprofessional teamworking questionnaire composed of four dimensions including learning, working together, communication and role in interprofessional team. The Index of Item-Objective Congruence (IOC) was 0.66 and Cronbach's alpha was .76 and .83. The analytical statistics used in this research were mean, standard deviation, and correlation. The results revealed nursing students had a high level of attitude toward interprofessional teamworking (Mean=4.09; SD =.71). There was significant difference on the relationship between motivation in studying and attitudes toward interprofessional teamworking (r= 0.41, p < .01). These findings provide the college to encourage teaching and learning with multidisciplinary teams and should have activities help to promote attitude toward interprofessional teamworking.
