Learning Organization: A Case Study of Chulabhorn Hospital in Bangkok

Abstract

Developing the agency into a learning organization. There are many supporting factors, especially human resources. This research was a descriptive study to find the relationship and influence between personal factors. Empowerment and being a learning organization from the perspective of Chulabhorn Hospital staff Bangkok. The stratified random sampling was selected to be full-time staff who worked for at least 1 year, divided into 2 groups: health and administrative, 292 people. The research results were found that 1. Sample Most of them are female, age ≤ 40 years of education. Health Division And work experience 1-5 years has a level of empowerment. And being a learning organization at a high level. 2. Gender factor Education and work groups have practices that reflect moderate and high level learning organizations. Tested with chi-square statistics, no correlation was found. Age and work experience There was no relationship with the learning organization (r = -0.019, -0.034), individual and overall empowerment. Have a moderately positive relationship As a learning organization (r = 0.653) 3. Overall empowerment can predict the learning organization of Chulabhorn Hospital staff at 38.00% (R2 = 0.380), which is statistically significant at the .001 level.
