Performance Evaluation base on Drug Use Policies of Hospitals under the Office of the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Public Health in Phetchaburi Province

This research aims to 1) evaluate context, inputs, processes and products of the rational drug use policies of hospitals under the Office of the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Public Health in Phetchaburi Province, 2) Analyze the relationship between project context, input, process and product. Population is the main committee to drive the implementation in Phetchaburi, all 8 hospitals, total population is 113 people. Conducted research by using questionnaires based on the CIPP model, evaluating in four main themes: context, input, process and product. The questionnaire’s accuracy was 0.92. The results showed that 1) context, input, process and the productivity of the policy implementation was at a high level. 2) Inputs and processes was a high level of relationship with the products, except that context had a moderate. Recommendations: Management should provide support, supervisory visits by provincial administrators. Pushing medical schools to raise awareness of prescribing. RDU campaigns through advertising media. Expand the results of promoting RDU Community should be linked with other networks. Both internal and external agencies, including the private sector, such as grocery stores, pharmacies, clinics, and the public sector.
