Environmental Management of Sirindhorn College of Public Health, Yala by Personnel and Student

Abstract

Environmental management be part of the vision of Thailand 2018-2037 and the strategy of the Ministry of Public Health, Sirindhorn College of Public Health, Yala each have activities that affected the environment as well as hospital and health care center. Therefore, descriptive research was conducted to study knowledge, attitude, environmental management level and factors related to environmental management by 665 college’s staff and students. Stratified random sampling were used for 252 people by using a questionnaire. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and inferential statistics were Chi-square statistics and Pearson's correlation coefficient statistics. The results of the study found that the most of knowledge, attitude, and environmental management were moderate level at 49.6%, good level at 58.5%, and good level at 73.8%, respectively. Age, knowledge, and attitudes towards environmental management were positive relationship with environmental management at a relatively low level (r = 0.229, p<0.01, r = 0.268, p<0.01, and r = 0.355, p<0.01), respectively.  The most of the samples were of students at 88.0% which should suggest online learning resources or communicate to college’s staff and students via online channels due to the knowledge of college’s staff and students remained a moderate level at 49.6%, while the attitudes towards environmental management was mostly a good level at 58.5 which if there is a project ongoing activities through a clear policy, it could make the environment management of college better.
